Mardi Gras in the ATL!!

We had such a good time this past weekend. Blair's Paw Paw and Gina made the trip up from New Orleans to visit us. They decided to get away from the chaos this year, and bring a little bit of Mardi Gras to our house! I woke up Saturday morning to see my dining room table totally decked out in purple, yellow, and green. Gina had brought ALL the decorations in her suitcase along with THREE king cakes!! They also came bearing gifts for sweet baby Blair, which is always appreciated. One of the BEST things about having family from New Orleans is that they really know how to cook. Gina made homemade jambalaya on Sunday along with a very yummy crawfish dip. We ate, and ate, and ate. They loved getting to spend a couple of days with Blair, and we loved having the company (and the help too of course). We sure did hate to see them leave, but we look forward to maybe making a trip to visit all of them in April when Baby B is a little older :)

Blair - 5 weeks old

One Month Old!!

Our little angel was one month old on yesterday! We can't believe how fast time is flying by! It seems just like yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital. I cried the entire ride home...Felix was worried that he needed to turn around and send me back! HA! We went today for her one month check-up with the pediatrician. We were happy to find out that she weighs 9 lbs 9 oz and she is 20.25 inches long. She is in the 75th percentile for her weight and the 25th for her length. It appears she will be a shorty just like her Mommy! Dr. Pip was very pleased with all of her measurements and said she is perfect!! We are so thankful to have such a healthy little girl, and I praise God every day for giving her to us. Things are going pretty good around here. She is sleeping like a champ and can almost make it 8 hours during the night.  It seems that Felix and I are getting the hang of this parent thing. Blair may be laughing right now as I say that, but we get a little more confident every day.  Blair's Paw Paw from  New Orleans is coming to visit her this weekend for the first time, so we will be sure to post some pics from his visit as soon as we can!! 

THREE WEEKS!!!

It is hard to believe that Blair was 3 weeks old on Friday. She is doing so well, and we are all starting to get the hang of things around here. She is sleeping around 5 hours straight through the night, which makes her Mommy and Daddy VERY happy. We also started making her nap in her crib this past week so she could get used to it (or maybe so I could get used to it), and then she slept in her crib last night for the first time! She eats about every 3 hours during the day, and it seems like each day she is wanting just a little bit more than the day before!! At her one week appointment she weighed 8 lbs and 2 oz,  and we will go back for her one month on the 17th of this month. I am so anxious to see how much more weight she has gained. Some of her first little outfits are starting to get a little snug, which breaks my heart!! We are just loving EVERY minute with her, and we don't remember what we did before she got here. Felix reminds me that we traveled, shopped, went to nice dinners, etc., but I must admit that I prefer things this way ;) Here are a few recent pics of our big girl!!!
