I'm about a week behind on Blair's 4 month post. Things have been busy at the Verdigets' household! We had her check-up last Monday with Dr. Pip and he was so pleased with how she is growing. She weighs 15 lbs 2 oz and is 24.5 inches long. She obviously had a growth spurt since her last check-up at 2 months ;) We had another round of those nasty shots, but she tolerated them like a champ! On the 4 month birthday, Blair's Daddy and I decided that there would be NO MORE swaddle blanket. Instead of easing her out of it, we decided to cut it cold turkey. It took about 3 days, but she seems to have the hang of it by now. The first night was NOT fun and we were up all night long (Daddy says it was just him, but I beg to differ). Here is a picture of her in her new big girl pajamas without the swaddle!
Dr. Pip also gave us the go ahead to try some rice cereal when Miss B was ready. She is downing four 8 oz bottles a day, so we figured we would give it a shot. She eats at 8:00, 12:00, 4:00, and 7:30, so we decided to try the 4:00 feeding. As you can see, she is not a huge fan. I'm hoping she'll get the hang of it! We are open to any suggestions on this topic. And YES, we tried giving to her for breakfast. She cut the biggest rusty you have every seen in your life!
As for the holiday, we drove to Childersburg to spend time with family. Of course it rained and rained and rained, BUT we did get a few opportunities to let Blair sport her sun hat!
We are so excited for this weekend, because ALL of Blair's aunts are coming to visit. They are wanting to take Mommy out for a fun night on the town. Let's just hope Blair doesn't decide to wake EVERYONE up the next morning at the crack of dawn! HA! Can't wait to see you gals!
