Team Spirit

We have had a lot of team spirit around our house lately. That is what fall is all about, right??? Here are my two loves sporting their team gear.

We have also been trying to teach Blair to be a tidy tiger and to love on all fans regardless of their team of choice. Her Mommy isn't really good at that ;)

I have also had to teach Blair that being a Tiger isn't always an easy job. It's exhausting, gut-wrenching, nerve-racking, and will take A LOT of effort the rest of her life. She got what I was saying after Week Two.

But, we did manage to go back to normalcy at our house for ONE day so Blair could go see her buddy, Elmo. We went with our friends Peach and Addie to see Sesame Street Live on last Friday and had the best time!!

Blair totally proved me wrong and didn't move a muscle the entire show. She kept looking up at me and saying "I like it!". I thought my heart would just burst from seeing her little face light up. I can only imagine what a sucker I will be when it's time for Disney World!

We got to see the entire Sesame Street crew AND Elmo's World! Elmo's World is Blair's favorite part of Sesame Street. We have to fast forward to that part first, and then go back and watch the rest.

After the show, we decided it was time for some junk food. We went to Johnny Rockets and tried to convince the girls to wear the hats. You see who won that battle ;)

Since Blair had such a big day on Friday, Daddy and I decided to take a little day trip to Auburn on Saturday for some adult time. We met up with our good friends, Allison and Shane, and had the best time. It took all four of us to pull out the victory, so I am glad we had their help! They have just moved home from Las Vegas and we are so glad to have them back in the South!

So, that's it. It's back to work and school for the Verdigets, and we are gearing up for another good weekend of college football. Maybe the Tigers won't give me a heart attack this week! War Eagle!!

Vacation? Or not?

We had our annual beach trip with Blair's Pop and Paw Paw the last week in August. We knew from the get-go that this trip was going to be interesting. Felix had to be in Chicago a majority of the trip, but we sure do love him for driving us down and back home instead of sending us off alone! So, after getting all settled we had a normal first few days.

We did some snacking by the pool.
We got dressed up and went to some nice dinners.
We spent some time in the lazy river (or dinner cruise as Blair called it), and we even hung out on the beach a little.
But then the "vacation" part came to a screeching halt. Daddy had to leave us to head to Chicago. Then, Mimi had to leave us because her Mom took a turn for the worse. Then, I was struck by the stomach virus which caused me to stay in bed for 2 days. It definitely got interesting to say the least. But by Friday, Felix came back to the rescue to put us back together again.

He always gets the money shot.

So, we are now back home and recovered. We are praying extra hard for Mimi right now because she lost her mom this weekend. I think we all need a vacation from our vacation, but the good news is that football is HERE! So, bring on the low humidity, pumpkins, and mums because we are ready!!
