Easter

The girls had such a great Easter this year. They went to many many egg hunts, and they definitely had their fair share of Easter candy and treats. The festivities kicked off with Blair's egg hunt and party at school. The kids hunted eggs on the soccer field, and then had wonderful plate of goodies waiting on them in the classroom. I love this group picture; I thought it was so cute!

We always go to Easter Chapel at Blair's school on Good Friday.  It is such a sweet service, and the students all bring flowers from home to decorate the cross. I let Carter-girl tag along this time and she was surprisingly well-behaved. I took her to story-time and face painting at a local boutique since she was such a trooper.

Saturday was a complete mess outside. Egg hunts were cancelled left and right due to heavy rain. The church held their hunt indoors, so we were able to make that one. It was Carter-girl's first egg hunt, so I hated to miss it. She didn't quite get it at first, but she caught on pretty quickly. All of the eggs in Blair's age group were gone in about 5 seconds. Blair was more concerned with hanging out with her friends.

Thankfully, the weather cleared up just in time for us to have a beautiful Easter Sunday.  Felix made a wonderful breakfast at home, and then we went to the early service at church. After church, we went with the Patnode's to their country club for lunch and egg hunting.

We had a wonderful low-key Easter, and we are so thankful for all of God's blessings!

Billy's Wedding

During spring break, we went down to Orange Beach, AL for a wedding. Felix's childhood friend, Billy, got married and we wouldn't have missed it for the world. All the grandparents, cousins, childhood friends, etc made the trip, so to say there was a crowd is an understatement. We arrived a day or two early since we were on spring break. It was perfect beach weather for a wedding!

Blair was so excited for cousin Harper to finally arrive. We had a little slumber party on the first night, and of course donuts and Frozen were included.

Felix got to catch up with a ton of his childhood friends, and I was so happy for him. It was so fun for all the kids to meet and play together. We hope to all see each other gain very soon!

We also got a chance to see the Easter Bunny at The Wharf. Carter was in hog heaven.

It was finally wedding day, and everything turned out SO pretty! Billy and Trish must be living right, because the weather could not have been any more perfect. All of Felix's family was in the wedding, and Papaw Andrew even officiated the wedding. We are so happy for Billy, and his beautiful bride. I just hope she can handle this bunch ; ).

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Billy Brown!
