Before it got too hot, we took the girls to the zoo. It was Carter-girl's first trip and she loved it. She likes to get close and personal with the animals.
We also spent some time up in Milton with the Driskell girls. They have a fabulous new house and pool, so we called it our summer vacation spot!
Carter-girl decided she wanted stitches, so we spent a whole day doing that. That was not on the "list of fun things to do this summer"!
We spent a ton of time swimming. We swam at many, many pools and each time both of the girls got stronger and stronger with their swimming. I was definitely ready to retire the sunscreen by the end of the summer!
This was also the summer of the sleepover. I let Blair spend the night with two VERY trustworthy friends. She did great, and never asked to come home :(. She would do it every weekend if I let her, but I'm not ready to make a habit out of it just yet ;)
Of course ,we had to take a trip to Birmingham to see the Crowe girls. It's never a summer without Camp Crowe!
Carter-girl and I took one for the team and got the potty-training done. She was such a little pro! So glad to have this behind us!
We were sure to get in some fun with Blair before Kindergarten started. One day she went to work with Daddy, and then the next day she and I went uniform shopping!
We went to just a "few" Frozen parties as well ;)
And let's definitely NOT forget that Mommy went on a vacation to the St. Regis with her girlfriends (when's the next one girls!?!?!).
And that pretty much wraps up our summer! We stayed busy, and it was way too short this year! We now have two months of school under our belt, and we love being back in our routine! Now, it's time for football, mums, and pumpkins! War Eagle!
