Guess it's time...

I guess it's time to let Blair share her big news with the blog world!!

That's right! Blair is going to be a big sister!! I will be 12 weeks on Friday, and my due date is March 16, 2012. With pictures of my growing belly all over the Internet and facebook, I thought it was only appropriate that I go ahead and fill everyone in so no one would send me any Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers fliers in the mail ;) Things sure do grow faster the second time around, huh?!?!? The past 2 months have been tough on our family because I have not been a pleasure to be around. I have felt WAY worse this time, and have really just wanted to eat carbs and rest. However, I can tell that things are really starting to improve and I am welcoming the 2nd trimester with open arms! I have my 12 week appointment on Friday with an ultrasound. Please pray for a strong, healthy baby and event free pregnancy!

Orange Beach

We just got back from our annual Orange Beach trip with the the grandfathers! We are so glad to report that the Verdigets' vacation curse has been lifted. We had no broken air conditioners, no rattlesnakes, and no illnesses! Seven straight days of relaxation! I did manage to get my camera out one evening. We were so relaxed that I didn't find myself getting us all dressed up very often to take pictures. We did see some beautiful sunsets during our visit.

We love to dine at Cobalt when we are town. The food and the view are amazing. It's always the perfect opportunity for some pictures!

And congratulations to these two on their big engagement. Paw Paw was proud to show off his fian-ce!

Thanks to Mimi, Pop, Gina, and Paw Paw for a nice relaxing trip. My little fish had a great time swimming on her noodle and enjoying the "crazy river". We are back settled at home and getting ready for our big girl bed and our new preschool routine! Bring on the FALL!

Summer

Well, it's almost over, and I am SO glad! This heat is for the birds! Fall is my favorite time of year, so I say bring it on! We have been busy busy around here. We have taken a few road trips, had a few playdates, and had a staycation with Daddy! Did I mention we even went to Prattvegas (Prattville, AL)? My good friend, Allison, moved there with her family last year, and we were due a visit. We call it Prattvegas because they just recently moved there from Las Vegas, and I need not say that it is MUCH different ;) Blair loved playing with the girls and having all that grass to run around in!

Blair loved playing with Leigh and Mia's big girl toys. They were so sweet to share and let Blair take over their rooms.

Allison and I really enjoyed catching up as well. In person is always nicer than by phone! I know that they love being back home as much as we love having them back home! There is no place like the South!

A week or so after that, Daddy took a vacation from work. It was SO nice having him home with us all day. He took Blair to the park almost every morning, we went to see Winnie the Pooh, and last but not least we went to the American Girl. I am not ashamed for one minute to admit it was totally Daddy's idea. We woke up one morning, and he briefly mentioned it, so off we went. We had NO reservation, and lucked up when someone cancelled right when we got there for the lunch. Felix ran and purchased the Bitty Baby so Blair would have a baby to sit with at the table. We also borrowed a baby from the restaurant and had PLENTY of doll company at our table. I totally admit that I suck and left my camera at home, so iphone pics are all that I have :(

Next on the agenda was a trip to Orange Beach with the grandparents. That will hopefully be updated on the blog tomorrow! My goal is to get caught up this week before I head to Nashville to shower the Sloan twins with lots of love and gifts!
