Camp Crowe

The girls and I loaded up the week before Father's Day and headed to Birmingham to visit the Crowe girls.  Good thing I remembered my wallet, because we had so many fun things in store for the girls to do ;)  Of course, it wouldn't be a visit to Anna Kate's house without a bag full of treats waiting on us!

And what is a sleepover without matching pajamas?!?!?

We swam, ate, and cried. And then we swam, ate, and cried some more. LOL! But we did manage to get in a afternoon with the big girls at the nail salon. Gigi was nice enough to keep the babies so we could go treat the big girls to pedicures.  They each picked out their own color, and even got a little bedazzle on top of that ;) They did so good sharing the Hello Kitty chair that we went for popsicles after. If you live in Birmingham, Steel City Popsicles ain't no joke. Yummy!

And why not throw a Hello Kitty breakfast party just for the heck of it since every member of this slumber is obsessed with the cat?  The obsession sure does come a lot sooner the 2nd time around with these babies. It was Kitty mania!!

We sure were exhausted and achy, but these 4 little girls are so precious. They are so full of drama JUST LIKE their mommies, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We will look back on these memories in a few years and laugh and cry because we won't believe that we made it. We had a wonderful visit and look very forward to our next slumber party! Here Kitty Kitty!

Memorial Day Beach Trip

Felix surprised me with a little trip to Alys Beach for Memorial Day Weekend.  We had really been wanting to go there, and it was the perfect time because my Mom was able to tag along with us. I will have to admit that this place blew me away. I felt like we were on a Caribbean vacation when I arrived. It doesn't get much nicer than this. Felix and I had our own little honeymoon suite across the courtyard, and my Mom stayed in the main house with the kids. I don't feel the need to ever get on an airplane again to have a nice vacation.

We spent very little time at the beach because the pool is just too perfect to pass up. However, the water was crystal clear. Blair would stay hours on the beach, but little sister has a different opinion. She didn't move too far from her towel and Goldfish ;)

This is were we spent most of our mornings. We were up with the chickens, so we would always get there hours before everyone else.  My little fishies loved the pool!

Blair loves the water this summer, so I hope that will make our vacations a little easier. One child on my hip while swimming is about all I can handle. Carter is such a great cheerleader for her sister when she swims well!

There was also an awesome splash pad were we would take the girls after rest time. It was good "safe zone" for Carter because she could wear herself out in the grass ;)

We also dined out a good bit during our stay. We walked over to Cowgirl Kitchen in Rosemary one night.  We also dined at George's and La Crema. And Nonna was even nice enough to give us a night out to Caliza one night as well without the kiddos!

We had a wonderful trip, and we look forward to our next visit to 30A at the end of July!

End of Year

Why is May so busy? I felt like we were running the entire month and eating some sort of cupcake or dessert while doing it! LOL! The end of the school year is so bittersweet to me. Our babies grew a whole year older right before our eyes, and we were almost too busy to watch it happen. I guess that's why I keep this ole blog going!

First up was the dance recital. Good grief at the preparation for this thing. We got dressed up for picture day, and then we got dressed up for rehearsal day, and then one last bun for recital day. I felt like a beautician by the time it was said and done.  This was Blair's second recital and she did great. She performed Yankee Doodle Dandy at the Strand Theater. She had the sweetest class, and we made some special friends this year. We are so sad that it is over BUT excited that they will all be in the same class next year!

Blair's class had a popsicle party on the last day of school. All of the moms were invited so we could be with our little ones on their last day and receive our end of year gifts. I was so emotional on this day. I get so attached to her teachers and classroom friends every year. I guess it's safe to say we have had a wonderful experience ;)

Thankfully, we did not have to say our goodbyes at the popsicle party. All of the moms arranged to have a jumpy house the day after school got out to kick off summer. The kids were WILD and loved their "Nemo" party! We had a wonderful year and can't wait to see all of our friends at camp this summer!
