Easter Eggs and Golf Balls

You just thought I was finished blogging about Spring Break. Well, I'm not. I just got too tired to keep on. After our house guests rolled out, it was time for a new window of activities. Every year the Governor's Mansion hosts an Easter Egg Hunt. Blair likes it because of the eggs. I like it because it is an opportunity to wear our Easter attire. And of course it wouldn't be a party without Mimi and Pop. The Governor even said so himself!

It also wouldn't be a party without finding a few friends along the way. Blair was so happy to show off her Quinn.

There were a ton of fun activities at the Mansion. We hunted eggs, ran from the Easter Bunny, and ate snacks. As you can tell from the pictures, Blair was most thrilled with the popcorn!

After such an eventful Spring Break, we spent the rest of the weekend watching the Masters, playing with bubbles, and grilling out. It was nice to just enjoy being home and being a family.

Stay tuned because the Easter post will be sooner rather than later. It was a wild and fun ride to New Orleans! Excuse my tardiness with the blogging while I recover from my food coma ;)

Spring Break

It has been Spring Break around here, and we sure have been busy. The word "break" does not describe it in any form or fashion, BUT it was worth every meltdown, every outfit change, and every photo session! Anna Kate and Katherine drove into town last Wednesday. While I was waiting on their arrival, I tried to get all domestic. Yes, I know it is Betty Crocker, but the fact that I cracked 3 eggs and got out the handheld mixer is HUGE. So, don't laugh.
We planned to go to Barney Live at Phillips Arena months ago. The girls have been so excited, and had been talking about it non-stop. Don't tell anyone, but I even used it as leverage a time or two to get Blair to behave ;) Anyway, the day finally arrived on Thursday, so we got on our pretty dresses and headed to the show. Later that day we practiced our driving skills in the jeep and blew some bubbles. Poor Blair. I thought she would almost need an oxygen tank! We "slept in" Friday morning, and went for a late morning visit to the park. Both girls were "smitten" in their shirts made by their Aunt TT. Lord, what would do without her? We had several compliments, and we told everyone to go here to purchase one :)
Pop and Mimi rolled into town Friday night just in time to treat everyone to dinner. Katherine and Blair were all juiced up by this point. We had one more photo shoot before heading out to dinner. Anyone want to guess how many special treats I gave out for each one of these pictures?
Pop and Katherine made friends pretty quick at the dinner table. We promised we wouldn't tell her GrandBobby so he wouldn't be jealous. She must just have an eye for who butters the bread. We thought Blair would have a panic attack if we didn't end the night with ice cream, so off we were for one more stop before heading home. So, that wraps up our visit. We had a wonderful time! Between fixing hair, learning to share, and pottying all over Atlanta in the back of my car, Anna Kate and I are gladly accepting donations for our spa weekend. No offer will be turned down ;)
