We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. It was nice and long, and we were able to do a little bit of everything. My mom came to keep Blair so Felix and I could get away to here for the 1st few nights. I didn't even take my camera; it was that relaxing. Here is my view while I drowned myself in fruity drinks out by the pool.

Reynold's Plantation is about an hour or so from our home, so it was nice to be able to get home so quickly to Blair. We had a full Sunday afternoon planned at the Ackel's house, so she was a bit anxious to go see Harris. Carrie had the house decorated for the 4th and had the boys in their red, white, and blue. You guessed right if you thought Blair may also have some duds for the occasion. At this point, I had to bring my camera back out of hibernation.
And what is not to love about this little-big guy? Check out those rolls. This is one happy baby.
While Carrie and I were bribing the kids with sugar cookies and everything else under the sun, the chef was hard at work.
We stuffed our faces around the dining room table and spoke of many topics in which none of you probably care to hear about. Andy told the story for the 100th time how he swears I passed gas in the car at the Iron Bowl in 2007 and didn't claim it. His wife, Jessica, just acts like its the first time she has heard it every single time :) And last but not least is this wonderful cake that Carrie made. Jessica just kind of liked the strawberries.
We had a wonderful holiday weekend, and we are so thankful for the men and women who continue to fight for our freedom so we can enjoy weekends such as these! Happy 4th of July!
