Valentine's Weekend

We had a wonderful, low-key Valentine's weekend. Our celebrations started on Saturday night when Daddy decided to cook for us. My husband does the cooking around here. Not just because I can't boil water, but just because he's darn good at it. He decided to fix us some Italian meatballs with spaghetti. Blair and I got all settled in waiting on our good meal.

We woke up bright and early Sunday morning so we could give Blair her Valentine's treat. Notice I skipped the part about the night before when we put this thing together, and went straight into Sunday morning. No need to talk about that part. Let's just say she LOVES her trampoline, and that's all that matters. As you can see, she is learning to jump REALLY fast. Lol!

Later that day, Quinn came over to decorate Valentine's Day cookies with Blair. They had their aprons on, and they were ready to go!

Blair was most interested in eating the cookies. Quinn just wanted to jump on the trampoline. Either way, they were gearing up for a great afternoon nap!

The weather could not be beat on Sunday, so we also spent a little time outside. Blair is obsessed with the neighbor's slide, and I think she went down it a hundred times. I told her we would get her one of her own when she starts wearing big girl panties. Now every time she uses the potty, she asks me for a slide. I guess I better stick to my word on that.

Owl Be Your Valentine

Blair and I went to Birmingham, Alabama this past weekend to visit Anna Kate and Katherine. We were searching for some good weather, and we got it! Seventy degree temps, sunny skies, and no rain. What more could we ask for? We got into town on Friday morning, and Anna Kate had her house all swoozied up for Valentine's Day. She even made some special sweet treats, yum!!

We played outside a TON and even went on some wagon rides. The girls were worn out from all of their hard playing and had to replenish their energy with some wonderful cupcakes.

Saturday was even a prettier day, so we started the day off playing with the bubble machine. I guess this is another item that we will be adding to our Easter Bunny list. Every time we leave the Crowe's house our "want" list grows drastically.

And it wouldn't be a trip to Birmingham without AK and I getting elbow deep in some children's clothes. God bless my pocketbook!

We had a great visit. Blair sure does miss her "Kafrin", and asks where she is every single day on the ride home from school. I guess I'm just not cutting it over here in the entertainment department, so I hope they make a trip to visit us in the ATL very soon!!!
