Christmas Cards

I took the girls to a nearby park this year to take our Christmas card pictures. Let's just say that it is no easy job to photograph your own children. Those high-priced photographers are worth every penny! I threatened them with chips and cheese, ice cream, lemonade, and just about every thing else I could think of. And I definitely treated myself to a margarita once this was over. I wish I had not deleted the bad ones, because some of the faces were really funny. Here are a few I wanted to keep.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving week started off with feast at Carter's school.  It was so fun to get to see her with her classmates. They dressed up as Indians and had a Thanksgiving lunch.

On Thanksgiving day, we drove to Alabama to my Aunt June's house. Her home is always so festive for the holidays.  Our family is not very big, but we make the most of it!

Pop was in the hospital during Thanksgiving, so the girls did not get to spend any time with him. Felix and I drove to  UAB to visit with him once we had finished Thanksgiving lunch. It has been a long holiday season for Pop and Mimi not being able to see the girls. We look forward to next year when things are back to normal!

Halloween

This may have been my most favorite Halloween ever. At first, the girls were going to be the Frozen sisters. Blair was going to be Elsa and Carter was going to be Anna. I didn't say a word, because I wanted to let them choose. Well, thank goodness for catalogs. As soon as Blair saw the gum ball machine, she immediately changed her mind. I was thrilled with this decision because we can dress up as a princess any day of the week.  Carter-girl is happy in any costume, so we chose a cupcake for her. I thought their costumes turned out adorable.

Grandma Eydie was even in town for this years festivities.

Every Halloween, our neighborhood throws a big party in the street. All of the neighbors come and even some of our closest friends.  We always have a big turnout. We get the kids all hyped up on sugar before they go out and get more sugar ;)

I could barely keep Blair still enough to snap many pictures of her trick or treating, but Carter was so fun to watch. She was adorable, and she got the hang of it so quick. Big Sister ran off and left her, so Carter-girl and I did our own trick or treating.

Both girls had such a great time. It was so nice to have Halloween on a Friday and not be on any type of schedule! We are already looking forward to next year!

Blair's Fall Soccer

Blair had another successful soccer season this fall.  She was on team Germany again, and played with all of her same buddies. We were fortunate enough to talk Coach Jordan into staying with us for one more season ;) Blair seems to really enjoy soccer, and does really well.   This season we practiced every Friday night and had games every Saturday morning. I felt like "I" deserved the gold medal once it was over ;)

The last game of the season was FREEZING.  We managed to bundle up and eat our cupcakes regardless. There was not much picture taking!

Blair also played in the Concorde league this fall. We went every Sunday afternoon for drills and scrimmages. By the end of the season, Blair was playing with the boys. This was a great league and we hope we can participate again in the spring.
