Father's Day

We met my Dad and Michele in Alabama for Father's Day this year for a delicious brunch. My Dad had just finished his chemo treatment, so we didn't want him to have to drive too far. The girls always love seeing Pop and Mimi. Felix just loves a day with his girls no matter where we spend it ;) He will take that over being on the airplane any day!

End of Year

May is always such a busy month.  All of our activities come to an end, and we say goodbye to our friends and teachers. It was especially hard this year since this was Blair's last year at The Preschool. I ate a TON of chocolate and got through it.

First up, we had a little end of year gymnastics performance. Blair took gymnastics at a new place this year, and we were so much happier with it.  Of course, Tina came along with us, so these two were always side by side. Blair loved her teacher, Miss Trish, and we hope we can have her again this upcoming year!

We also had to say goodbye to soccer for a few months. Blair had the BEST little team this spring, and we are so happy her same team (and coach) are reuniting this fall. Blair and Tina have played soccer together since they were 3, and now we have several additional buddies on our team. Coach Jordan did such an amazing job with the girls. Team Germany was awesome, and they even knocked off the undefeated team in our last game. They sure earned their "end of year" cupcakes ;)

Blair's dance recital was themed around Lady Liberty this year. This was her third dance recital at the same ballet studio we have been at since she was two. She has pretty much stayed with the same group of girls the whole time. We are sad to say goodbye to Miss Kristy since we are moving up to the older kid program. All the little Lady Liberty's did such an excellent job.  Miss Kristy's students always steal the show. Blair had all of her fan club there, and we were so proud of her! Carter-girl is sure ready for her turn this fall!

The hardest part of May was saying goodbye to Blair's preschool class. We loved every single kid in that class, and we were so attached to Blair's teachers. One of the parents hosted an end of year party at their home, and it did not disappoint. Blair was a little under the weather, but she pushed through and stayed out of the bouncy house ;)

These three little girls right here were thick as thieves the entire school year. Every day I would hear all about Lauren and Eloise. I was so happy to hear so many reports from the teacher on how well they played together and how much they looked out for one another. I wish it were possible to keep them in the same class together forever. All three will be parting ways this fall, and it makes me SO sad. We will just have to plan many many play dates so the girls can all see each other!

Finally, we had our last day of school and it was all over (but the crying as far as I'm concerned). Both girls had a wonderful year and had wonderful teachers. Carter will continue her school days at  The Preschool and Blair will move on to Kindergarten. We have been BUSY BUSY  this summer because we don't want to miss out on a single thing!

Mother's Day

Yes, I realize Mother's Day was two months ago, but I am determined to catch up on my pictures!  It was a very emotional Mom's Day at Blair's school this year, because this is the last time I will ever go with her to Mom's Day at school :(.   Her teacher had the room decorated so pretty, and my most favorite part was the ring-cleaning station ;)  Everyone got to take their Mom's rings off and clean them in cleaning solution.  This was right up Blair's alley ;) We had a grits station set up with all the fixings, and the kids even painted us pretty flowers on canvas.  This was a morning that I will truly never forget.

Nonna came to visit us for the weekend, and we have a wonderful time. Nonna got to watch Blair play soccer, and go to her gymnastics recital.  We had a delicious brunch on Mother's Day at Haven. I loved spending this special day with all my favorite girls!
